Creswell, Oregon - On August 15, 2005 Shawn Grant officially opened Camel Towing for business.
Grant hasn't been in the towing business all his life, in fact has spent most of it as an electrical engineer where he did things like build food processing equipment in Alaska. He however was quite dissatisfied with the amount of money he made compared to his employer because hard work did not get in the way ---Shawn routinely worked sixteen hour days, seven days a week for three months. Although Shawn desires to own a mini-storage facility within five years, opening this business is one step along his working journey.
After relocating himself to Oregon and deciding it was time to get in business for himself he researched what business he could get into quickly and presto... the towing business. "How many businesses can you get into with little or no experience and have a significant financial upside", he says. Again Shawn understands the simple need for service and hard work as he explains the personal experience of local residents waiting for days to get a car towed. He says, "I will get the job done professionally". In addition to the towing business Shawn will be getting a dealers license to buy cars at auction. This affords him the ability to specifically buy a car or truck for an individual client. Camel Towing will immediately have several drivers working with them including, Brook Jamison and Brian Bonham both from the Lane County area.
Local businesses surrounding their location behind Siuslaw Valley Bank have been very grateful for the clean up Shawn has done. The previous business was not near as tidy, which is a complete understatement. Shawn says, "The local businesses here have been quite supportive".
OurCreswell.com welcomes Camel Towing to the "the friendly town" and wishes them good fortune. Camel towing is located behind Siuslaw Bank.
