The motto hasn’t changed, “Honest, integrity and excellent service.” Owners, Victor Olivera and Arturo Ruiz are also brothers-in-law.
Both Olivera and Ruiz are Creswell residents, but this family business venture comes from them both following different paths. Ruiz had worked as a mechanic in a Eugene repair shop, while operating a private auto repair business out of his home. Olivera first worked as a manager for Kinkos in Portland, than as information technology director for a Portland cabinet manufacturer.
Currently the two-story building contains six auto bays, a comfortably furnished waiting area featuring cable television and complimentary Starbucks coffee. In addition there is DSL high-speed Internet access. Upstairs there is a pool table, with plans for projection TV. You should be comfortable, now let’s get down to business.
According to Olivera, the most common jobs performed at Auto Service Center are regular maintenance appointment, but they provide such auto repairs as timing belt and transmission replacements and even major projects such as engine rebuilds. “We take a fresh approach to service, I am meticulous and detail oriented,” he said, “and we would like to treat our customers the way we like to be treated. We really do stand by our motto.”
The Auto Service Center has rewarded its customers each year by having a “Hawaiian Luau” catered onsite. Kona Café who recently opened in Creswell has been Oliveras’ resource for this celebration. Victor Olivera is a member of Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, and active community supporter.
The real story here is that they do what they say. In these days of being taken for granted as a customer, it is a refreshing oasis of change located right here in Creswell.
