CRESWELL – “We are only one mile from downtown,” states Todd Oneil, General Manager of Emerald Valley Golf Club, who believes in the cuisine offered at the Emerald Valley Golf Club.
Opened in 1964 by the Murphy Family, Emerald Valley was purchased by Jim & Hal Pliska, U of O golfer & ’78 grad, passionate about the game of Golf and creating a first class venue. Currently the home course for the University of Oregon and favorite of many Eugene residents, the Club wants to be a “dining destination” for the Creswell area.
From the past you may recognize the Traditions Café, Tavern on the Green, or the present Front Nine Restaurant and Back Nine bar, the Club has always offered patrons a quality choice for the dining dollar.
Front Nine RestuarantTina Evans, the current Restaurant Manager joined the staff in 2006 bringing many years of experience earned from various local restaurants such as Jamocha’s, Grape & Grain, Blooming Branch Bistro, and Tofu Palace plus her own business pursuit, Café Jump Start, a mobile espresso cart. Evans was charmed by the golf course view, and the pleasant working conditions created by staff at Emerald Valley.
“Home Style and made from scratch,” Evans adds with pride describing the effort and commitment made by herself and the management team. “Casual, comfortable, clean Evans offers quickly mentioning “daily home-made soups” and “Clam Chowder Fridays, Friday Prime Rib and a Monday night Spaghetti feed,” as some more reasons to visit the restaurant. “Oh, fresh ingredients, and organic free trade coffee,” she quickly mentions before heading back to her duties.
