Creswell , OR - "Having grown up on a farm in Cottage Grove , I had always hoped to make my livelihood in the nearby vicinity,” Mark Mootz says.

Mark served four years in the Navy, stationed in Japan which led to a couple of ventures in the Philippines and Washington State . Shortly after, he worked for a local contractor doing siding and other carpentry work for a number of years. This led him to attaining his general contractor’s license in 1991.

”I decided to open my own business because of a need I saw for quality construction in my local community. Creswell Presbyterian Church has selected Mark for several jobs around the Church and specifically the construction of the steeple which is part of the Church getting ready for their 100 year anniversary.

”I have always loved being able to work with my hands and look back at the job and see what I have accomplished.”

A typical day for Mark has him picking up tools and materials by 7:30 am with an objective to arrive at the jobsite around 8:00 pm . Different stages of the project get completed until the end of the work day around 5:00 pm. Mark states, “I would like to obtain many friendly acquaintances and to make people happy with their completed project.”
