CRESWELL - All Things Computing, a new name to a business established in late 1999 when owner Robert Bolanos came across an inventory clearance at a local office supply store. With cameras, computers, notebooks, parts and accessories bought for pennies on the dollar, the early beginnings of "Java Bytes" began forming.

Selling items on Ebay was the start while learning the computer business through following the advice of both purchased books read for hours, and reliable friends. This all because there was no formal training in Computer Technology for Bolanos which made the tearing apart and rebuilding items a true learning experience as the learning curve was rather steep.

Beginning with providing occasional support and assistance for friends and neighbors it  broadened his exposure while working for Gateway Computers. After leaving Gateway Computers, a few years was spent as a network administrator for a large real estate development firm in Eugene and most recently worked at a technology start up company also Eugene. Throughout this time he continued to fill his free time with weekend projects and problem solving for friends, neighbors and his local Church while the entrepreneurial bug continued to bite at him.

"With the technology start up I was with looking to head in a new direction, I decided that now was a good time to get serious about following my vision," Bolanos states. Creswell continues to grow and Bolanos believes there is a good foundation to include a full service computer sales and support company in South Lane County. Bolanos believes people in Creswell and the surrounding area shouldn’t have to look to Eugene/Springfield for virus and spyware removal,  computer and network support for systems, and hardware, at a fair and competitive price.

Bolanos is now preparing to take the next step by opening a full service sales and support center in Creswell. With his growing business he has decided to rename the company All Things Computing, which he thinks looks better and is less confusing than Java Bytes. "You’d be surprised how often people asked me if Java Bytes is a coffee company or coffee house," he states. Bolanos originally named his business Java Bytes in January of 2000, with a vision to open an authentic European-style internet café in Eugene along with computer support and sales business. The full plan for the café never came together but his computer business really has grown the last five years.

When asked what he enjoyed most about the business he replied, "I enjoy the unique challenges each client engagement provides and the opportunity to learn from it. Whether it’s spending a few hours crawling through all corners of a Windows registry and hard drive to remove spyware, recover family photos from a damaged hard drive or configure a Linux-based server for secure file management in a small office, I learn a new tip or trick each time."

During the ownership of his business he would , "like to succeed and support my family while providing fair and honest solutions to our community at a value that is competitive with the big boys in Eugene/ Springfield."

Bolanos states, "Give me a call and give me a chance to earn your business. I believe you will find I am competitive with what Eugene has to offer, and all the while I continue to grow my business in Eugene and Springfield," Bolanos says confidently.
